Weaving mapping by Garage 127

For whom: independent art spaces from all over Ukraine, especially those located closer to the front line.
What’s offered: share information about their space and join the research for potential collaboration; receive funding under the second edition of the Weaving project to implement an exhibition.

Translation grants for Ukrainian publishers

For whom: Ukrainian publishing houses and organizations registered as LLCs, private entrepreneurs, or NGOs.
What’s offered: up to 5,000 EUR for translation, editing, rights transfer, design, printing, and marketing activities (organizers cover up to 70% of publication expenses); participation in the alum community.
Deadline: 05.12.2023, 15:00 (Kyiv time).
Dates: Competition results will be announced by January 31, 2024.

Culture without Barriers UCF grants

For whom: legal entities of all forms of ownership or individual entrepreneurs registered in Ukraine according to current legislation.
What’s offered: implement a project under two lots: Lot #1 «Support for Artists with Disabilities» (inclusive publications, exhibition, video content, radio content, TV show, collection, or fashion show, creation of art object) — grant from 300,000 to 800,000 UAH; Lot #2 «Barrier-Free Society» (cultural and artistic project) — grant from 500,000 to 1 million UAH.
Deadline: 15.01.2024, 18:00 (Kyiv time).
Dates: Competition selection from January 16, 2024, to June 1, 2024. Project implementation from April 15, 2024, to October 15, 2024.

The Adolph and Esther Gottlieb Foundation emergency grants

For whom: artists, engravers, and sculptors (with 10 years of experience) facing needs arising from an unforeseen catastrophic incident and lacking resources to address the situation.
What’s offered: one-time assistance from 5,000 to 15,000 USD for a specific emergency situation (fire, flood, or urgent medical needs).
Deadline: No deadline.

What’s Next? Performing Togetherness open call 

For whom: dancers, artists, musicians, writers, researchers, and biodiversity experts from Austria, Germany, Poland, Ukraine, and Romania. Priority will be given to applicants with a particular interest in an interdisciplinary approach and participatory approach.
What’s offered: a grant of 300 EUR for travel and accommodation in Bucharest, shared accommodation (single and double rooms), a fee of 1000 EUR for the laboratory period in May 2024, a fee of 1000 EUR for an additional 3-week research residency in October 2024, etc. The main theme is the rethinking of coexistence and reflection on the theme of (post)war Europe.

Kvitbrakka residency

What’s offered: a one-time grant of 5,000 Norwegian kroner for accommodation; a free workshop; access to the archive of photos of Berlevåg Havnemuseum; the possibility to sell works to the Berlevåg Havnemuseum collection (or funding for the production of works from the museum); technical support and assistance in production.

For whom: graduates in the fields of visual arts, film, design, and visual communications.

EBRD literary award for Ukrainian books translated into English

For whom: books written in Ukrainian or one of the languages of Ukrainian national minorities and published in English between November 15, 2022, and November 14, 2023.
What’s offered: 20,000 EUR for first place or 4,000 EUR for second and third places (reward to be equally divided between the author and translator). Finalists will participate in the award ceremony in June 2024 at the EBRD headquarters in London (all expenses covered by the organizers).

Dates: Shortlist announcement in March 2024, and the three finalists in May 2024.

Culture Moves Europe grants for professional travel

For whom: artists and cultural professionals working in the fields of architecture, cultural heritage, design, fashion design, literature, music, visual or performative arts.
What’s offered: the opportunity to visit a professional event in the EU, Iceland, Norway, Liechtenstein, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, Turkey, Armenia, Georgia, or Tunisia; up to 4,500 EUR for accommodation, meals, and other travel-related expenses; 350 EUR for tickets and 80 EUR to cover visa costs; an additional allowance for people with disabilities or children.
