What is offered: Lectures, discussions, workshops, meetings with artists, curators, and representatives of cultural institutions on the topics of how the world of contemporary art works, how to present yourself, build a portfolio, look for opportunities, communicate with institutions, and work with local contexts.

“Search and observation. Darnytsia River": a residency by depot12_59
For whom: those staying in Kyiv during the two-day walk and present during the exhibition opening and installation.
What is offered: the two-day residency will take place in the format of a walk along Darnytsia (Darnytsia metro station in Kyiv) in search of the river of the same name. Walking, relaxing by the water, having dinner together, visiting new places.

LAB: DOCU/SYnthesis x Ukraine War Archive
For whom: artists working with any digital or analog media, objects, sculpture, installation, and those interested in working with archives. Filmmakers who want to expand the cinematic language with the help of modern tools.
What is offered: For several months, they will work on their works together with the Lab's curator Oleksandra Nabieva and mentors, whose names will be announced later. The program also includes a workshop for the participants, a budget for the realization of the idea, and an author's fee.

Literary and artistic residency “Quiet Center” in Kharkiv
For whom: authors, artists, and representatives of other creative industries who are ready to explore Kharkiv or other parts of the Ukrainian east despite the difficulties and dangers.
What is offered: During the residency, participants are invited to explore the unique space of “Zaderzhprom’ya” (an area behind the Derzhprom building) by writing a text/creating an artistic reflection based on the results of their research, living, and “passing through” this “Silent Center.” In the future, these texts and visual works of the participants will be able to become part of a literary collection or zine. Upon request, participants will be able to participate in a series of online seminars with students from the University of St. Andrews (Scotland) to share their experiences and talk about Ukrainian culture during the war.

Microgrant and mentoring program to support Ukrainian photographers by UAPP
For whom: young Ukrainian photographers who will create projects related to the topic of war.
What is offered: The program will include four mentoring courses and a final competition for participants. Financial support for €8000 will be provided.

Program duration: the mentoring program lasts 2 months. After that, participants can submit ideas for creating a documentary project for a micro-grant program lasting 2 months.

Microgrant to expand your practice and community by Rhizome
For whom: artists, thinkers/makers, game developers, creative hackers, digital archaeologists, code poets, and dreamers. Anyone with any level of experience or background who is interested in gently expanding their practice and community is welcome to apply. The Rhizome community encourages proposals from people who have been historically underrepresented in art and technology spaces.
What is offered: $500 to $1500 to support new online projects.

Abroad
Residency for international artists in Hamburg
For whom: professional international artists living outside of Germany in the fields of visual arts, photography, film, multimedia, and music in combination with visual arts, media, or film who are interested in the Hamburg cultural scene and want to engage culturally in Hamburg.
What is offered: The Ministry of Culture and Media will pay the rent for the apartment during the residencies, an additional salary of 900 euros per month for each artist in residence, and transportation costs for one return trip. Each artist will receive a one-time subsidy of €500 per residency to cover the costs of the final presentation.
