Invogue Gallery is located in the heart of Odessa and aims to promote the current Ukrainian art and contemporary visual culture.
The main goal is the development of artistic environment and collectible traditions in Odessa. An important part of Invogue will be the creation of an educational program, aimed at both professionals in the field of culture and the visitors who simply wish to learn more about contemporary art.
«Gallery – it is primarily a meeting place for people to exchange ideas and knowledge, – says the co-founder of Invogue concept store Tatiana Burda. – I’m from Odessa, and for me, it is very important for our city to have high-quality cultural events. I hope that Invogue gallery will become a known place on the artistic map of Odessa».
The exhibition program will open with an artist Stepan Ryabchenko and his new project «Honey plant». The nectar of the specially created hero, the Honey Plant, attracts insects, which is then converted into sweet honey. Large-scale two-dimensional works depict a variety of flowers and fictional life that occurs around them. The artist creates a fantasy novel, which becomes the center of a virtual city garden as the incarnated desire of a tech paradise. Working with computer technology, the artist remains faithful to the classical pictorial tradition – creates a complex composition, a lot of attention to detail and carefully incorporates historical references.
«My new series of works are dedicated to the creation of a virtual garden, Honey Plant became the hero of it – a plant which attracts insects for collecting nectar and recycling it into sweet honey. Everyone is looking for such a source in his life, everyone defines it differently and it gives everyone what he actually needs» – said Stepan Ryabchenko.
